Reservations:
- Open for categories such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PH (Persons with Disabilities), and ESM (Ex-Servicemen).
Age Criteria:
- The general age limit for applications is between 18 and 25 years, based on the closing date.
Age relaxation:
- SC/ST candidates get a 5-year extension.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates receive a 3-year extension.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) enjoy a 10-year relaxation, which extends to 15 years for SC/ST and 13 years for OBC.
- Ex-Servicemen (ESM) can have a 3-year relaxation, but this is after subtracting the time they served in the military.
- Departmental candidates can go up to 40 years, or 45 years if they belong to SC/ST.
- For widows and divorced women, the age limit is up to 35 years, and it is 40 years for SC/ST.
Salary:
According to the 7th Pay Commission:
- For Highly Skilled-II Positions (like Electricians, Telecom Mechanics, Vehicle Mechanics, etc.):
Pay Matrix Level 4 – Ranges from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (with a Grade Pay of ₹2,400).
- For Telephone Operator Grade-II:
Pay Matrix Level 3 – Ranges from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 (with a Grade Pay of ₹2,000).
- For Skilled Positions (including Machinists, Fitters, Welders, Upholsters, etc.), as well as Firemen, Storekeepers, LDCs, and Cooks:
Pay Matrix Level 2 – Ranges from ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 (with a Grade Pay of ₹1,900).
- For Tradesman Mates and Washermen:
Pay Matrix Level 1 – Ranges from ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 (with a Grade Pay of ₹1,800).
Additionally, employees will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and any other applicable allowances.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of several key stages:
- Biometric Registration: This step is all about verifying your identity.
- Document Verification: Checking of the certificates to ensure everything is in order.
- Written Examination (Offline OMR-Based):
Duration: 2 hours to complete the examination.
Total Marks: The exam is worth a total of 150 marks.
Negative Marking: There’s a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
Question Paper: The exam will be available in both Hindi and English.

Skill Test:
- Candidates who pass the written exam will need to take a trade-specific skill test.
Physical Test (Only for Fireman Position):
- Height: At least 165 cm
- Chest: 81.5 cm (unexpanded), 85 cm (expanded)
- Weight: At least 50 kg
Other Tests: Fireman lift test, long jump, rope climbing.
